Unique protocols have been developed in simple steps to address core issues, support healing and aid in preventing re-occurrence. Becoming attuned to our creature companions connects us to nature. And in turn, nature connects is to our adored beasts.
Andrea Peters is co-founder of The Adored Beast Apothecary and one of Julie’s dearest friends. They decided to embark on this journey together as yet another rung in the ladder of adventures that they seem to find themselves on.
Andrea first met Julie in 2000. It was a very sick Wheaten Terrier named Rocky that originally brought them together. Andrea had tried (and was frustrated with) conventional veterinary medicine and was searching for a better way. Rocky had what we now know was IBD - a diagnosis, along with a treatment plan was difficult to nail down from traditional vets and came with a lifetime of harsh drugs and a bleak overall outlook. Julie Anne taught her that there is a different path, one where alternative modalities look to the root cause and help to reinstate quality of life. It was from that moment that Andrea’s journey into homeopathy, nutrition and embracing that “different way” began.
It was not reasonable to expect pet parents to go out and get 12 different human supplements to add to their dog or cat’s regime and pet supplements generally missed the mark as far as quality and content. Julie and Andrea discussed this on many occasions and it was during one of these brainstorming sessions that Andrea said to Julie “Let’s just do this!!!” - thus Adored Beast Apothecary was born.
