Multi Strain Probiotic Blend

Probiotics enhance the immune response of the digestive tract. Lactic acid bacteria produce lactic acid which inhibits yeast growth by lowering intestinal pH and blocks the receptors or adhesion sites of pathogens, creating a barrier against infectious organisms. 30 billion allergen-free CFU (colony forming units) to defend against harmful gut bacteria by repopulating the digestive system with friendly bacteria.

Papain

Papain, a substance derived from the unripe tropical fruit papaya, is a proteolytic enzyme. No, Healthy Gut is used to help the body to correctly digest food and to add pre and probiotics. It is best used in rotation with Gut Soothe and Love Bugs to give a comprehensive balanced gut health care plan. We do have customers who feel their animals do better when they use Healthy Gut ongoing. This could be because the animals have a compromised ability to produce the proper amounts of their own digestive enzymes. Examples are increased energy, lessened arthritic pain… this is simply because they are able to digest their nutrition.

It is excellent for cats, especially those that suffer from hairball issues!

You absolutely can! If feeding commercial kibble or processed food of any kind, adding digestive enzymes will encourage the digestion of more of the nutrients in the food. It will help the body “break down” the dry food and help with nutrient absorption. You may notice reduced stool volume which would be an indication of more of the food being used by the body.

Minimum of 12 months.

The product is freeze-dried, so while refrigeration is not necessary, we believe it will help to maintain optimal freshness.

For optimal freshness, store in a cool, dry place away from heat, light, and moisture.

Both products have the same base – the pre and probiotic blend that makes up Love Bugs. Gut Soothe has the added herbal components that target inflammation and can soothe the mucosal lining. Healthy Gut has the added digestive enzyme components.

If moisture builds up, the digestive enzymes in Healthy Gut can clump together.

If your jar contains clumps, just break down those clumps and mix it together really well.

We add silicone packages to absorb the moisture, rather than adding it to the mixture. We didn't want to mix in silicone dioxide, because we don’t think animals should be eating it.

Can I use Healthy Gut instead of hairball products produced on the market? Is it possible that hairball is excreted instead of vomited out after using Healthy Gut? Or are there other products that are more effective for hairballs issue?

Hi Anny Liu, Thank you for reaching out! Healthy Gut and/or Feline Gut Soothe can be very beneficial for aiding cats that are prone to hairballs. FELINE GUT SOOTHE - Soothe the Digestive Tract. Often, if there’s inflammation in the gut (even if you don’t see it), that could be a reason for hairballs. If moisture intake isn’t being properly assimilated, that can lead to more obstruction of hair. This can also impact motility – it won’t be as fast as it should be, which also affects the ability of the hair to move through the digestive tract. Slippery elm and marshmallow root are two really good herbs for this. They allow for more slippery mucus to coat the digestive tract, allowing the hair to expel more easily. Probiotics. If the gut microbiome is unbalanced, more often than not the motility of the gut (the process through which substances move through the intestines) is negatively affected. This can cause the inability of hair removal and allow dangerous pathogens to remain in the gut. It can also interfere with nutrient absorption. High quality probiotics can help to rebalance the gut microbiome to support the proper motility function of the digestive tract. (Feline Gut Soothe contains probiotics too!). HEALTHY GUT - Digestive Enzymes. Adding digestive enzymes to your cat’s food may also help reduce hairballs. Enzymes actually help break down the consumed hair in the digestive system and allow for easier passage. And as an added bonus, your cat will get more of the nutrition provided in her food as the digestive enzymes make the food easier to digest and absorb! And yes, hairballs can be broken down and excreted vs. vomited.

Hi. My 10 male cat was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma in Mar 25. He had an avocado size mass removed from his intestine. He currently takes prednisolone 20mg/2x a day and does a 4 day on of chlorambucil(chemo pill) and 3wks off. After his surgery, he had soft serve bowel movements. I added pumpkin and they became normal. I want to get away from using pumpkin and came across your products. Which product or products would you suggest? I've read about them but having a hard time deciding especially the ones that help with inflammation. I also read a bit about your liver tonic to help detox organs. Thank you for responding.

Does this product contradicts with any other brand supplements? Also, as it contains pancreatin, does it has to be mix into the food for a period of time before consumption? Will using this supplement cause the pancreas to be dependent on the supplement and reduce in enzymes production?
